LegalTips.online is a technology platform, not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice. Use of our platform does not create an attorney-client relationship with LegalTips Online, Inc. Your attorney-client relationship is solely with the licensed attorney you independently retain through our platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the LegalTips.online platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and LegalTips Online, Inc. ("LegalTips," "we," "us," or "our"). We may modify these Terms at any time with notice to you.
2. Description of Service
LegalTips.online is a marketplace and technology platform that:
- Connects clients seeking legal assistance with independent, licensed attorneys
- Provides AI-powered legal research tools for informational purposes only
- Offers document automation tools to generate template legal documents
- Facilitates secure communications between clients and attorneys
- Processes payments for attorney consultations via escrow
LegalTips does not practice law, does not provide legal advice, and is not a law firm. All legal services are provided by independent, licensed attorneys who are solely responsible for the legal advice they provide.
3. User Accounts
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Be responsible for all activities occurring under your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 years of age or older.
4. Client Terms
As a client using the Service:
- You understand that AI-generated legal research is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice
- Your attorney-client relationship is with the individual attorney you engage, not with LegalTips
- You are responsible for verifying that any attorney you engage is licensed in your jurisdiction
- You must not misrepresent material facts to attorneys using our platform
- You acknowledge that document templates require attorney review for your specific circumstances
5. Attorney Terms
Attorneys using the Service agree to:
- Maintain an active bar license in all jurisdictions where they practice on the platform
- Maintain required malpractice insurance coverage at all times
- Comply with all applicable rules of professional conduct
- Provide accurate profile information and not misrepresent qualifications
- Honor scheduled consultations or provide timely notice of cancellation
- Never solicit clients to conduct business outside the platform in ways that circumvent our payment system
6. Payments and Fees
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Consultation fees are held in escrow and released to attorneys upon consultation completion. All fees are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy.
We reserve the right to modify fees with 30 days notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of new pricing.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Submit false or misleading information
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Harass, abuse, or harm any attorney, client, or platform staff
- Attempt to circumvent our payment system
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform
- Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Use AI-generated content to misrepresent the nature of your legal matter
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and all content, features, and functionality are owned by LegalTips Online, Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our express written permission.
You retain ownership of content you submit to the platform. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to use it solely for the purpose of operating the Service.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. LEGALTIPS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR USEFULNESS OF ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEGALTIPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO LEGALTIPS IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LegalTips and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Austin, Texas under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason at our discretion. You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings. Sections that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including Sections 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.
